Celebrating Summer at Splish Splash Water Park

Many thanks to Splish Splash Waterpark for providing complimentary tickets. As always, all opinions expressed are my own.

June has been a busy month for my family. School is over, both of my nieces celebrated birthdays, and my nephew is going to kindergarten in the fall. We love waterparks so to wrap all the celebrations in one fun-filled day, we took a day trip to Splish Splash Waterpark last weekend. Below are our favorite Splish Splash water park rides for the day.

The Battle of Mutiny Bay

My personal favorite was The Battle of Mutiny Bay. It is an interactive ride for people in AND outside the boats. We were able to take a ride in a boat and have a water fight from the cannons with guests in other boats or outside of the bay. There are no age restrictions, but there are only 4 people allowed in each boat. We split up, but Nieceypoo got in and enjoyed the ride with my sister.

Kiddie Cove

The majority of our time was spent in Kiddie Cove. We attempted to have Nieceypoo swing on the tentacles in Octopus pool, but she wasn’t having it at all. Meanwhile, Bootsie boo and the boys had a blast using the kiddie slides together and individually. We eventually found our way into Monsoon Lagoon and the Yellow Submarine where Nieceypoo found some courage to use the water slide. It was only once, but it was something.

Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror

I initially thought my youngest nephew wasn’t tall enough, but we were all able to get into Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror. We plunged through a 40 ft tunnel via tube in complete darkness in one ride. The kids loved it so much, they went twice.

Lazy River

No matter what water park we go to, the lazy river is usually a must for me. I sat out due to my oldest nephew being done with rides, but we were able to catch the rest of the family as they relaxed in the tubes.

We all had an overall great time. My oldest nephew isn’t too fond of theme parks, but he even said he had fun. Splish Splash is located in Calverton, NY about 60 miles east of NYC. It took us about an hour and a half to two hours to get there via car. Ticket pricing is based on height and day that you attend; guests under 48″ and over 60 years old receive tickets at a cheaper price. If needed, the park offers locker and life jacket rentals and accepts all major credit cards for admission, food, and drinks. If you visit during a busy day, it’s recommended to get the H2Go Pass available for popular Splish Splash rides. For more information, visit them on their official site.

This post makes me want to get to a waterpark. I haven’t been to one in ages and sadly my daughter isn’t quite a fan of them just yet. I’m hoping that by next summer she’ll be on board.

We started a tradition of road tripping to Wisconsin Dells where we park hop. I’m hoping to take the kids to our local waterpark (Deep River) soon.

I used to love water parks as a kid! Now I get a little paranoid about the water being contaminated LOL. I need to let me inhibitions go because this looks so fun.
