This past August, I visited family in Toronto for the Scotia Bank Caribbean Carnival (Caribana) but forgot my makeup brushes. While it did hurt my heart somewhat, I DID need a new brush set. A couple weeks after, I saw a deal on LivingSocial. The Dotzila 24-Piece Brush Set was original $49 and I purchased it for $18. I am NOWHERE near a makeup professional, but I do want to get better at it.

They aren’t heavy and the hairs absorb the products for application well. I also like that they already come in a holder. This is convenient for traveling and overall organization.
Since I’m only familiar with basic brushes (eyeshadow, blush, eyeliner and foundation), it’s kind of confusing for me to know the use for each brush without a number or label as my previous Sephora and MAC brushes had. I probably have to label them eventually.
I’ve used it for “the basics” a handful of times and so far, so good. I haven’t had any of the hairs fall out after washing and I’m happy to be able to put on makeup with actual tools now.
