I have a 7-year-old niece and much like me, she loves makeup. Her parents don’t allow her to wear any outside of her Disney play set, but every once in a while she finds her hands in her mother or grandmother’s stash. In efforts to stop this, I decided to let her go through my shadows, blushes, and lipsticks to be my makeup artist for the day.
After I finished moisturizing, applying the primer, foundation and filling in my brows, she applied the blush, lipstick, eyeshadow and mascara. We recorded the process and agreed the video would stay live if she stopped going through her mother and grandmother’s beauty products. So far I haven’t heard anything, so I’m hoping she kept her end of the bargain.
Check out our video of the process below:
Much to my surprise, she used the correct brushes. My niece was very excited to see the edited video and already had plans for “next time”. I doubt it will happen again, but I had a fun time doing it.
Would you ever let a child do your makeup?
