One thing I love about the New York Times Travel Show is it showcases both domestic and international options for solo, family, group and couple’s travel. Valentine’s Day is a few days away and while it’s too late (and expensive) to plan something now, there’s nothing wrong with getting some inspiration for your next romantic getaway. Below are 10 domestic and international romantic cities around the world to consider while planning your next baecation. Based on some booths visited at the New York Times Travel Show and members in travel groups, these are some favorites.

1. Niagara Falls, Canada

5. Maui, Hawaii

6. Napa Valley, California

7. Santorini, Greece

8. Zanzibar, Tanzania

9. Bali, Indonesia

10. New York, New York

Some honorable mentions were Montego Bay, Jamaica, Playa del Carmen, Mexico and the French Riviera. While New York City is home and I visited Niagara Falls with family, all of these cities provide some sort of relaxation, education, gastronomy or adventure. Similarly to group vacations, it is important to mix up activities to accommodate the both of you. Have you visited any of these cities for a romantic getaway? What were your favorite things to do?
