Summer No Buy: July Update

I can’t believe August is tomorrow. It’s also the last month of my Summer No Buy. I had a mini setback in June due to my “product junkie-ism”, but I got back on track. As mentioned in my no buy update last month, I separated the items I wanted to finish in a section of my bathroom and used them for every wash day. Unfortunately, I didn’t get in the program that allowed me to go swimming everyday, but four products in one month isn’t bad.

Below are empties for the month of July

And these are the almost empties:

As you may know, I’ve been trying to finish that Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk since the beginning of this no buy. I’m really hoping it finishes soon. All other “almost empties” look very doable to finish. In addition to those almost empties, here’s what I want finish by the end of August:

I seems like it has been forever since my trip to Tobago, but I’m going back on vacation in August. Since I plan on being in the pool everyday, I’m bringing some of these items down to use. Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing my recap when I return. 😉

Would you ever do a month or season no buy?

  1. I’m not sure I have the discipline to do a no buy period of time, but these exercises have inspired me during transition periods to use the last of what I have on hand before buying something new.

    • It’s my second year doing it and last year I found it harder to finish my makeup over hair products. I’m glad it was somewhat helpful. While I don’t plan on tracking my usage of products for the Fall, Winter and Spring, I think it’ll be a good practice to put products off on the side that’ll work for the month.
