My family and I visited Central Florida for a family vacation and some MUCH NEEDED rest. We made the decision to do a villa rental in Indian Creek through Home Away. It was about 15 minutes from the Disney Theme parks and literally 3-5 minutes from the villa we rented last fall.
I honestly didn’t even notice when booking, but it was a plus that we were familiar with the area. In addition to the accommodation availability, what sold me when picking the villa rental was the décor in each of the rooms.
The accent walls, wall art, mirrors, and lamps gave me so many ideas for redecorating my own apartment. With an exception of some pots and serving bowls, it came fully equipped with everything we needed; all we had to bring were ourselves, clothes, food, and basic essentials for the week.
This specific villa rental was recently renovated and we received an additional 15% discount the total price. When sending inquiries, the management team was very responsive to our questions and booking was completed within two business days.
Because our party was so large, we opted to go grocery shopping at the local Publix and Walmart stores and cook rather than go out to eat. With three picky eaters and a toddler, it just made more sense to us. In addition to a breakfast nook, there was the main dining table, two stools by the elevated counter, and outdoor seating by the pool; more than enough space for all of us to eat.
All 5 bedrooms were on one level. The villa featured two master bedrooms with king-sized beds, a queen-sized bedroom with pack and playpen, a character-themed bedroom with two twin-sized beds, and bedroom with a full and twin-sized beds. The garage was converted into a game room with a ping-pong table that can be lifted to become a pool or air hockey table.
The best part of the house for me was the private pool. I pretty much was inside every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. The management team informed us there was no pool heat available during the months of May-October due to regular outside temperatures being so hot.
The section that would normally be the hot tub area, was referred to as the ‘spa and kiddie pool’. My nephews loved it and requested ‘the bubbles’ each time they entered. A plus was a gate separating the pool and seating areas, providing safety for kids falling in unexpectedly.
We loved the house and the service provided by Eagle Management, but will most likely not return next year because we’re including more guests. The search for a 12+ bedroom villa rental begins. Check out my video showing the house below:

I’ve never stayed in a villa before but I imagine it would feel more homey. We once had a hotel room with ants and I hated it!
Nice! I woulda freaked out about water bugs but they’re so common in the south I’d just buy up all the bug killer LOL
This is definitely going on my list for our future Disney trips. So much more ‘homey’ than a hotel.
Rental properties are one of the best ways I’ve found to really enjoy a vacation. The key is finding the right one! Three years ago my family (about 25 of us) rented out a house in South Carolina for a destination wedding and we had a blast, saved money and would definitely do it again.
I tried this for the first time last Christmas. We rented a nice big home for 16 of us. We had an amazing experience. We will do this again.
Very beautiful villa! I love its 5 bedrooms I want to consider doing this when my family goes to FL!
I’ve never done a Villa Rental before but your post makes me eager to now do one! Amazing picture and the Villa looks insane! Love it!
This looks like a great rental. I guess the bug situation was out of the control of the rental company considering the weather. My family and I alternate between staying in hotel rooms and renting homes/apartments when we travel. I love the convenience of having a kitchen and laundry when we travel, especially with young kids. However, when we travel this way, mommy doesn’t get a break from cooking and meal prep. Lol
I didn’t see any, but my sister said there were at least three that she and her husband saw. We called the rental company. Hopefully they will get it fixed. I love the house rental. We even thought about purchasing property since it seems to be “our thing” to visit Florida every year. Of course, more research would be done. It gives the kids more space to run around. Of course, they have to be more careful though.
The villa looked really beautiful. I was just telling my intent I need to take a trip to Florida.
I took so much pictures and videos. I even was thinking about doing a vision board on pinterest for redecorating ideas. Florida is nice at any time of the year. I’ve been to Tampa in January and it was in the 70s.
Nice place and my family used to rent large condos in FL when we went to Disney. Brings back memories…
I think it would be a regular for us to rent vs going to a resort hotel. Do you have any recommendations?
This is a beautiful villa! My family and I went to FL last year and we rented out a villa and it was the best. I love that we had a kitchen so we could buy groceries and we saved money by pitching in together.
yes! We even had a bbq a couple of times using the grill outside. It definitely saves money.
The villa is lovely! I hate that you had to deal with the bugs 🙁
I really loved it, but the bugs were such a turn off when my sister told me. I’m happy the management team didn’t throw it under the rug though.

Yikes, I’m really sorry to hear about the bugs. Otherwise the Villa is beautiful and definitely a great option for family travel
Thanks Vee. If we can’t find a bigger house, we will most likely go back to the 7 bedroom we rented last year and another in the area.
I have never rented a villa before but think it is a great option for a traveling family. Hate to hear about the bugs but love the pools!
My nieces and I are always the first in the pool. It’s amazing especially on a warm/hot day.
I can’t do the bugs but the place looks awesome. I can overlook the ants but the bugs I can’t do it lol. I love renting a home away from home when I go out of town especially if I am gone for a few days
I’m always skeptical, but I think I will try it for when I go out of the country next year.
