Summertime is long gone, but I wanted to share a simple outfit worn for a boat ride I went to in Sheepshead Bay in late August. The boat ride was on a Sunday evening around the Jamaica Bay; nothing spectacular, but it was a lovely site the few minutes I went outside. Not only was I recovering from a cold, the week prior was pretty busy for me: I attended a Meet n Greet with Africa Miranda, got crochet braids at Trials n’ Tresses’ first event, had dinner uptown with friends and a family BBQ. (No wonder I forgot about my agreement to go). Since I am a woman of my word, I still went. I had no time to get anything so I made what I had work.

As mentioned, I was sick. I didn’t feel like applying so my makeup was super simple.
Despite me not feeling it or being “glammed up”, I received many compliments. It actually felt good to not have to purchase something new for a specific occasion; I should do this more often.
