Coming back from our Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas, my sister and I had time to kill before going home so we visited the Wynwood Art District. With her being a photographer and me wanting to visit since Blogalicious weekend, it was the perfect place for us to meet up with my friend who was also in Miami for the weekend. If you’re planning a trip to Miami, here are some fun things to do in Wynwood.

Take a Photo Walk
One of the best free things to do in Wynwood is to take a photo walk. The cool thing is most of the buildings within the area have graffiti murals. If you love taking photos of and with street art, this is the place for you. By the end of the trip, my entire SD card was completely maxed out. I was tired of taking photos but still managed to get a few shots around here.
Lunch at Wynwood Diner
By the early afternoon, I needed to get out of the sun so we stopped at a local diner for lunch. I had an order of crab cakes while my sister ate a side of french fries. We fell in love with the diner’s decor, showcasing a reading nook and unique tables, chairs, and lighting in the back room. Here are some other places to eat in Miami by neighborhood including the Wynwood area.

Visit The Wynwood Walls
Attracting visitors from around the world, Miami’s Wynwood Art District is one of the best venues to see street art. The Wynwood Walls was established in 2009 by Tony Goldman as an outdoor museum of international street art. Since the first year, the area has sparked the creation of graffiti murals in the area.

Take a Food Tour
I fell in love with food tours in Marrakesh and I WISH I knew about Miami Culinary Tours before visiting. Not only do they have daily food and art tours in the Arts District, but they also offer tours in South Beach, Little Havana, and Miami City. I’ll definitely book on next time.

Have you visited Miami’s Wynwood Arts District before?
I have always wanted to go to Miami. Looking at your beautiful pictures, I can see that I need to hurry up and make my vacation plans for 2018… destination… MIAMI BABY!!!
Miami is one of my fav cities to visit. At the top of my list, the food. Too bad you didn’t do the food tour, but you would have really loved it!! No doubt. And the street art is amazing.
Perfect! I was just scrolling the Wynwood location tag on Instagram and dreaming of a Miami trip. Thanks for sharing.
We took a Carnival Cruise from Miami and I wish I’d spent more time. The city looked gorgeous. Thanks for the suggestion next time we visit.
No problem Joyce.
I used to live in Miami, but Wynwood Diner wasn’t there at the time! I need to go back and check it out.
I am not sure if my comment went through, but food tours are always my go to. Every new city has to include some type of food tour. I will have to remember this place when I visit Miami.
I have to check Wynwood out the next time I’m in Miami! That art is gorgeous, and your crab cakes look delicious!
As many times as i have been to Miami i have never seen this. The art is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, I can’t wait to check it out.
