The 20 Best Beauty Gifts for Frequent Travelers

Best Beauty gifts for frequent travelers

The Holiday Season has finally come and a lot of us are in desperate need of some cheer. For me, that means eating good Trini food, listening to parang, decorating my apartment, and being around loved ones. Since it is hard to celebrate with friends and family due to social distancing, most celebrations have become very intimate including few visitors or connecting with friends and family virtually.

I am a frequent traveler but, I also have a love for natural hair, makeup, skincare, and even fashion. So, what are good gifts for travelers that also like beauty items? If you’re wondering what to buy the beauty-loving traveler on your list, I’ve created this guide of beauty gifts for frequent travelers that work for every budget!

Best Beauty gifts for frequent travelers

Hair

Hair Oil – Being on vacation shouldn’t be an excuse to neglect your natural hair regimen. Different oils on natural hair stimulate hair growth, combats dry scalp, and help prevent heat damage.

Hair Turban – Hair towels or turbans like this personalized turban help dry the hair after wash day or swimming in the pool or beach without wetting your clothes.

Satin Pillow Case – Satin pillowcases come in handy when you forget your headscarf or hair bonnet. It creates less friction on your hair and absorbs less moisture than cotton.

Travel Hair Kit – It’s hard enough finding staple products so bring along a travel hair kit to make wash day a bit easier.

Makeup

Brow Pencil – Full, groomed eyebrows frame your face and can make you look more alert. I love this brow pencil in the color Dark Brown and use it for everyday use whether I’m going on an extended weekend getaway or on a week-long girl’s trip.

Eyeshadow Palette – If date night or enjoying the nightlife is part of the travel itinerary, bring along an eyeshadow palette. This palette is a great option for a natural look while this palette is great for a fun day or night out.

Highlighter – This is one of my favorite drugstore highlighters to travel with. Highlighters are great for attracting light and give your face a nice glow.

Makeup Kit – Get more for your money by purchasing an eye, lip, or face makeup kit with foundation. These kits are travel-sized so they’re perfect to just toss in your carry-on or travel toiletry kit and go.

Skincare

Body Scrub – Body scrubs remove dead skin cells, help prevent ingrown hair, and improves blood circulation. The Dove Pomegranate seeds and Shea butter body polish is one of my favorite drug store body scrubs. Not only is it affordable, but it also smells very good.

Facial Mist – I love facial mists because they have multiple uses. Facial mists are great for hydrating your face after a long day of travel or in the office.

Makeup Remover – Take the day off and remove your makeup, oil, and dirt by using a facial cleanser. You can use a cream to clay cleansers like this one, cleansing balm, makeup remover wipes, micellar water, or a combination of them all.

Sheet Masks – Sheet masks They are a great beauty stocking stuffer for frequent flyers by adding hydration to the skin on cold winter nights. Since the air on planes dries out the skin, sheet masks are also good to use during or after long-haul flights.

Sunscreen – Sunscreen is essential for everyday use, not just sunny beach vacations, and help prevent sunburn and other types of skin damage. Use a traditional sunscreen for your body and a moisturizer with SPF.

Travel Skincare Kit – Depending on one’s skin needs, travel skincare kits provide everything you need for a night or daytime skincare routine in travel size.

Under Eye Mask– Eye masks and patches are great for rehydrating dry eyes, removing puffiness, and dark circles. Eye masks and patches can be used as needed. I like using these eye patches from Pixi after long flights.

Beauty Tools and Miscellaneous

Beauty Advent Calendar – Get into the Christmas spirit by getting a beauty advent calendar. Receive a surprise gift every day in the 24 or 12 days counting down to Christmas before receiving a big gift on Christmas day.

Beauty Subscription Box – A beauty subscription box is the perfect gift for any product junkie that loves to travel. Subscription boxes provide full and sample-sized beauty and hair care items on a monthly basis. You can purchase boxes each month or save money and purchase 3, 6, or 12-month subscriptions. My personal favorite for hair and beauty items are Boxycharm and COCOTIQUE.

Face MassagerFace massagers, rollers and gua shas help tighten the skin, release toxins, and improves blood circulation.

Sleeping Mask – Get the best goodnight sleep by investing in a sleeping mask. When we start traveling again a sleeping mask works wonders on long-hauls.

Cosmetic Bag – The last type of travel beauty gift I recommend is a cosmetic bag. Cosmetic and toiletry bags hold all makeup and beauty items and can easily be placed in a carry-on.

With the unemployment rate hitting an all-time high of 14.7% earlier this year, every dollar counts so purchasing something your friends and family will actually use is important. From makeup tools, to gift sets, these beauty gifts for frequent travelers can be used for long-haul flights, before and after any trip. No matter the use, these travel beauty gifts are perfect for any beauty-obsessed traveler.
